New subscription site makes it easier to get your favourite magazine delivered

Aller Media, one of the Nordic region’s largest players in magazines and digital media, has launched a new subscription site with the help of Esatto. This makes it easier for customers in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden to subscribe to their favourite magazines.

Aller Media is one of the Nordics’ leading players in magazines and digital media. With Esatto's support, they aimed to build a new subscription site to better meet customer needs and drive more subscriptions for their popular magazines.

With over 140 years of experience in the media industry, Aller Media wanted to take a step forward by modernising its digital offerings. The goal was a smooth and efficient subscription process to reach new customers better and provide enhanced service to existing ones.

Easier subscription process

The existing site had limitations in terms of user experience, functionality, and technical performance. Aller Media wanted a platform that was not only flexible and user-friendly but also capable of handling all magazine subscriptions for each market (Norway, Denmark, and Sweden), complete with localised offers.

The aim was to create a site where customers could easily explore, compare, and subscribe –whether using a computer, tablet, or mobile phone. The goal was to make the subscription process as simple and intuitive as possible, increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Optimizely Commerce – the perfect platform

Together with Aller Media, we evaluated various e-commerce platforms. The choice landed on Optimizely Commerce, a highly scalable and flexible platform that perfectly matched their needs.

Aller Media’s new subscription site (available in Danish) is designed to maximise conversions and make it easy for new and existing customers to explore and subscribe to their extensive range of magazines.

To efficiently manage all magazines and improve data quality, we implemented Struct as a PIM system (Product Information Management System). This provides Aller with better control over product management, ensuring seamless handling of all information related to their magazines.

The new subscription site has provided Aller Media with a modern and powerful tool to drive growth in its subscription business. By combining Optimizely Commerce and Struct, we’ve created a solution that not only simplifies the subscription process for customers but also gives Aller Media full control over their product catalogue and campaigns.

With an improved user experience and optimised technical infrastructure, Aller Media now has a platform that can grow and evolve alongside their business needs. Early results are already promising, showing increased conversions and better user engagement.
